Ours was on a Bahour vine yesterday. Theirs sat in a cold room for 3 to 5 days. We would rather tell you that than pretend to match a 10-minute price.

Named farms and one harbour, not a cold room
Puducherry grows paddy, pulses, chillies, bananas, mangoes, groundnut and tapioca, and lands fish along 45 km of coast. Almost none of it reaches a website. This is the supply chain behind every invoice.

What the household, the guesthouse and the café say
I have lived in Auroville 9 years and still could not buy from Food Link without going through a friend's Aurocard. Now the Organic Box comes to Kuilapalayam on Tuesdays with the farm written on each bag. The basil alone is worth it.
We are 12 rooms on Rue Dumas. The wholesale apps wanted volumes we never reach. PondeFresh drops at 6:45 am on route days, fish and vegetables on one GST bill, and the seer fish is genuinely from the harbour that morning.
Family Box on Thursdays, ₹899, and I stopped going to Grand Bazaar on Sunday mornings. Tomatoes cost a few rupees more than the app but they last the week instead of 2 days. The likes list means no more bitter gourd.
The open, priced, delivered front door to Puducherry's own food
Puducherry already has 10-minute delivery. What it does not have is a way to buy its own food: Auroville's farms sell through Food Link and Pour Tous behind an Aurocard that refuses cash, the town's organic collective takes WhatsApp orders 3 days a week with no prices, and the day's catch at Thengaithittu never reaches a website. PondeFresh exists to fix that — provenance instead of speed, scheduled instead of impulsive, one morning route that serves the household, the heritage guesthouse and the café kitchen alike.

Do you deliver the same day in Pondicherry?
We are not a 10-minute app; Zepto and Swiggy Instamart both run that in Puducherry. Order by 8 pm and your produce is picked at dawn and delivered in a 7 to 10 am window on your zone's route days. On route days, orders placed before 11 am can join the afternoon 4 to 7 pm top-up run.
What is the minimum order?
The household minimum is ₹300 per delivery. The Pondy Fresh Box has no minimum beyond the box itself, from ₹499 a week. Restaurants, cafés and guesthouses set a standing order from ₹1,500 a week. Karaikal, which we reach on Saturdays only, has a ₹1,500 minimum.
What is the delivery charge?
Delivery is free on orders of ₹500 and above inside Puducherry city, Auroville and Kottakuppam. Below ₹500 we charge a flat ₹40. Karaikal deliveries carry ₹120. Every Pondy Fresh Box subscription includes delivery, so a ₹499 Small box costs exactly ₹499 at the door.
Is your organic produce certified?
Every line on your invoice carries one of 3 labels: Certified organic, where the farm holds a current third-party certificate we keep on file; Farm-declared natural, grown without synthetic inputs but not yet certified; or Conventional. The Auroville organic and Organic Box lines use only the first two, and the farm is named.
Do you serve Auroville without an Aurocard?
Yes. Auroville's Food Link and Pour Tous outlets take Aurocard or Auroville accounts only; we take UPI, card or cash from anyone. We run Auroville, Kottakuppam, Kuilapalayam, Edayanchavadi and Periyamudaliarchavadi on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings, guesthouses and community kitchens included.
How do I pay?
Households pay by UPI, card link or cash on delivery, with the invoice on WhatsApp before the van arrives. Restaurants, cafés and guesthouses get a GST invoice on every delivery and, after 4 settled weeks, 15-day credit terms with one consolidated bill.
